It seems that time continues to accelerate and I'm unable to slow it down. I want this ride through life to be the best it can be. Care to share the journey? Let's start with some basics about me. My name is John and I'm 29 years old, stand 6' 2 tall, and am a healthy and active man. I have a degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Philosophy. I relocated to Los Alamos 4 years ago, and unlike most everyone here I don't work for the lab, directly or indirectly. If you've never known an engineer and what wonderful and quirky personalities we have, here's your chance. Now, a bit more insightful. I try to be the best person I can be. I believe that being a kind, honest and genuine person is the right thing to do. For better or worse, I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve and I am also a romantic. I care a great deal for everyone in my life, family and friends. When people first meet me they usually notice either my manners or my relatively relaxed nature. I am very much a gentleman thanks to the values my parents instilled in me. Also, I have learned through much experience that it isn't any good to spend time worrying about something and getting caught up in frustrations. My biggest passion lies in working with my hands and learning as many things as I can. Building, creating and fixing things are all a joy to me. Not much goes past me without it getting disassembled and examined. I am an active person and love to go for bike rides and hikes. I used to rock climb but haven't done so in several years. Racing radio control cars is probably my most active pursuit currently, though I do have many other hobbies. Other things I enjoy are photography, being in nature, listening to music, reading, spending time with friends, going to dinner, watching movies, going to a show, theater, symphony or play, flying kites, going to amusement parks, volunteering/working with a professional pyrotechnics crew and just about anything in between.
